About Course

AP Computer Science Principles is an introductory college-level computing course that introduces students to the breath of the field of computer science. Students learn to design and evaluate solutions and to apply computer science to solve problems through the development of algorithms and programs

Solve problems through the development of algorithms and programs.
Incorporate abstraction into programs and use data to discover new knowledge.
Explain how computing innovations and computing systems, including the Internet, work, explore their potential impacts.
Contribute to a computing culture that is collaborative and ethical.
AP Computer Science Principles course does not have a designated programming language.
The teacher will choose a programming language(s) that is most appropriate for you to use in the classroom.

No prior programming knowledge is required or assumed

Basic Java or Python knowledge will help but is not required
